“I was an illustrator, but I felt increasingly dissatisfied with the work I was doing and the lack of connection with the readers of the magazines I worked for. I wanted more freedom and spontaneity… I decided that a blog could be an excellent opportunity to get feedback on my work. I created a page and posted a few of my illustrations. Soon after that I started adding short texts to them as well.” This is some of the information that photographer Garance Doré reveals about herself in her extremely popular blog of the same name. "I felt happy at the opportunity to share moments of my life - what makes me think, what inspires me and what makes me laugh," she added. And the biggest inspiration for the French woman turns out to be fashion. As well as the classic French chic that she seeks on the street, transfers in her photographs and in her own wardrobe.

Garance Doré is a real trend setter. Because the visions, styles and designers she presents on her blog instantly become a hit. On average, between 70,000 and 80,000 people visit her page every day. Because on it, the French woman publishes something much more than photographs of beautiful faces and luxurious clothes. Doré puts a lot of creativity and professionalism into her artistic blog. She presents street style photographs, original fashion illustrations, funny musings and video clips, through which she meets her readers with famous names from the world of fashion such as designers Charlotte Olympia and Isabel Marant, as well as the editors-in-chief of Italian and French Vogue, respectively, Franca Sozzani and Emmanuel Alt. Everything she publishes, Doré refracts through her own specific and very French sense of style that makes her name so popular in the fashion world. She doesn't settle for a hastily shot shot. On the contrary. Doré puts a great deal of directorial work into his photographs. She turns the people she photographs into models by involving them in mini photo shoots. Garance chooses the appropriate decor, arranges the clothes in the frame and even directs the pose of his models. Initially, the GaranceDore.fr blog, created in June 2006, started with only Dore's fashion illustrations. Over time, she enriched the content of her site with short texts and street style photographs from Paris. The real success came in 2007, when the photographer added an English version to the popular French page. The growing readership brings Doré new challenges and opportunities for expression. Her work outside the blog includes exciting fashion projects, including creating a limited edition t-shirt for Gap, shooting Love Moschino's Fall/Winter 2010-2011 ad campaign, and Jil Sander Navy's Spring/Summer 2011 campaign. the talented photographer adds to her portfolio a photo shoot for the French edition of Elle, as well as a presence in the electronic version of French Vogue. Today, Garance Doré divides his time between Paris and New York to diversify his blog with cosmopolitan and colorful content.

Garance sets trends not only through her blog posts, but also through her own looks that don't go unnoticed by photographers. Paris and fashion classics in a modern interpretation – this is the motto of the Garance Doré style. The photographer prefers clothes that are timeless - loose ankle-length pants, huge, artistically styled scarves, classic blazers and mid-length coats. Most often, the clothes in her wardrobe are dyed in neutral colors - her favorite gray, black, khaki, tobacco, white and beige. As a true French woman, she knows how to combine a classic black suit consisting of a blazer and a mid-length skirt with a casual denim shirt that freshly stands out in her look. However, the constant emphasis in her looks is the accessories. Doré's biggest weakness is bags. "They're like little sculptures," she tells Elle. Her personal collection consists of the most diverse models - dyed in classic black and seductive red or speckled with bold leopard print. Her favorite pieces are urban, oversized, practical yet feminine. The photographer's bags get even bigger during Fashion Weeks to hold all the essentials – the must-have sunglasses, camera and i-pad, without which he cannot. She visits all the fashion capitals because that's where she gets her inspiration from. The famous blogger is aware that she will enter the lens of photographers, but she never prepares in advance the looks with which she will appear at fashion events. Spontaneity is a key feature of her style. "I just take all my favorite clothes and do my best to put them together," she tells the American edition of Harper's Bazaar. Unlike most famous faces in the fashion world, Garance Doré is not worried about being photographed multiple times in the same outfit. Because for the photographer, fashion is an emotion. She falls in love with the clothes that reflect her character and mood. That's why she can't stop wearing them. She combines them in the most varied ways, and although she is often photographed with them, they always look different.
